Performance analysis of Subcarrier Multiplexing Technique on Intersatellite Optical Wireless Communication And Its comparision with Wavelength Division Multiplexing

In this paper, we review the system configuration and performance of optical transmission using SCM and WDM schemes. The SCM schemes are more preferred than WDM due to its advantage of high spectral efficiency. The system performance is evaluated by varying the performance parameters like link distance, transmitted power, number of subcarriers and SCM channel spacing. The results proved that as we increase the number of subcarriers with transmitted power, the quality factor increased and when we increased the number of subcarrier with link distance, the quality factor decreased. The performances are simulated by using optisystem software and analyzed based on BER, Quality Factor, Eye pattern and Received Power.
